Home with Shelly V. and family in Grasonville, MD!
Updates from Shelly:
12/6/22
Piper is good. She is very energetic and loves to chase balls. She is still trying to eat our 3 cats, so we have had to continue to keep our cats separated. Sadly they have to stay upstairs and can only come downstairs when Piper is outside or in my bedroom. She is great with my kids. She adores them.
Her fur is very soft if you keep her brushed. If you go a few days without brushing, it is not as soft and closer to kinky poodle hair…but still soft. We haven’t noticed any shedding.
8/22/22
She is doing great!! We named her Piper. She gets along great with our cocker spaniel. I think it’s going to take time for the cats to warm up. She wants to puppy play with them and they are not interested. 😂
She definitely likes to jump up and bite the edge of your clothes, but she’s a puppy and that’s expected. We found out her favorite toys are the ones that make a crinkling sound. She loves them!!!
She sleeps through the night….that’s amazing!!! She is an absolute gem!! We love her ❤️
You have raised a wonderful puppy!! I’ve missed the lil puppy hops. 💕
She has brought so much joy and laughs in just a few days!!! She is a breath of fresh air and she’s great at helping me stick to walking more! We love her!! ❤️

Updates from Linda:
2/5/23
Just an update on our sweet girl Jorga. She is healthy, happy and so playful. Loves her toys, playing with her sis Josie and always at my side. She definitely knows what "wanna go outside" means. Jorga continues to bring joy to our family with her sweet personality 💕
10/1/22
Jorga continues to bring so much joy to our lives. She has adjusted well. She really does well with the leash. Jorga loves to snuggle, loves toys, thinks she is a lap dog, loves carrots and loves the outdoors. I have taken so many photos of her...just so precious. We love her so much! Will send another update soon!
9/20/22
Jorga did so good yesterday. No issues coming home, she likes to snuggle for sure. She gobbled down her food last night and this morning. She is going to fit right in with the family. She is such a sweetheart and will be loved (and snuggled). Will send some pics and another update very soon!

Thank You to Shepherd Pals for the birthday wishes! 🎉🎂
This is EMMI (Marila Jo). I am a year old and just a ball of energy 💫 and joy! ❤️
My favorite thing to do right now is to steal things and then run! I don't eat them, I just don't give them back...hehehe..😂🤣
My big Sister Cali,
she is a Newdle (Newfoundland & Poodle) and we have the same Papa, General George! Yep, my Momma & Daddy drove all the way back to beautiful Virginia to get me from the Moore Family just because they were so in love with my Sister Cali! In fact...when it's time to get another Sister guess what?... Virginia here we come! Another Newdle we will get! Here are some pictures of me and my Sis! I am the smaller one, we look alike but she looks more like our Papa. Happy Birthday to me and all my littermates! Thank you to the Moore Sibs!! 💝

Marilla Joe, "Emmi" is doing fantastic! She went to her first vet appt yesterday. She is 36 lbs. She is getting tall. Her two favorite toys are deer antlers and whichever toy her sister, Cali has! 😂 We have said several times that she is one of the happiest puppies we've had. I love her little dark eyes...they are very small...but say so much! ♡♡ Since I am home all day long with the girls she is pretty attached to me. When I do step out for just a bit, she's so happy to see me when I come back in the door. Sometimes I'll go out to grab the mail and chit chat with the neighbor. Five minutes later when I come back in you'd think I'd have been gone for hours! It's nice to be so loved. 💗 She also loves to get up and in our chairs & lay her head on our chest/neck and sleep. Here are a few pictures of the cutie pie! Talk soon,

Marchie Jay "Coco"
Home with the Stevens family in Chesapeake, VA!
Updates from Stevens Family:
6/11/24
Coco is doing well. We just moved to a new house and she quickly acclimated to it. She’s enjoying a large backyard with thicker grass this time around. Hasn’t been as good for my autistic son as I hoped but he plays with her regularly. She’s calmed down a lot and doesn’t cause much trouble and loves to climb up and sit with us.
9/4/22
Coco is doing well! She’s housebroken and crate trained. She sleeps through the night without issue. She loves running around the yard but likes being inside also. The kids are enjoying her. We will get her groomed soon for the first time. I’ll send some more pics then…
7/19/22
So far so good. She’s become much more lively (for better or worse…😂). Slept in her cage most of the night last night. Only one accident so far inside, so she’s getting used to doing her business outside. She met the golden doodle next door last night. Was tentative but they sniffed each other. Brooke seems to be quite happy with choice…

Millie Jane II
Home with Jeff and Nancy W. in Huntington Beach, CA!
Updates from Jeff and Nancy:
4/30/23
Happy one year old birthday Millie Jane. Millie is a fun and loving pup and we adore her. She did not get to celebrate as planned with her brother, George, as Jeff and I are both sick. We'll definitely redo this special day soon. Mr. Jim brought Millie a doggie ice cream, which she loved.
7/13/22
Millie is doing great at night. Sleeps all night long in her huge crate, downstairs. She has gone about 4 days with no accidents in the house also. She loves to play fetch with the tennis ball. You must have taught her that because she brought back the ball on the very first try. She is such a fun and loving puppy, sits on our laps, always by our sides. Can’t wait until 7 days after her 4th shot when we can take her for walks and to the dog beach- excited to see how she reacts to the shoreline.
I know she must miss all of you in Virginia- would love to know what’s going on in her little head.
I will send a picture- she’s going to be a big dog.❤️

7/4/22
Sooo, Millie Jane is amazing. She had her first swim yesterday- was quite good dog paddling. 😊
Her favorite thing is playing with her brother! Savannah advised us to put her crate downstairs and partially covering it with a light blanket. It worked wonderfully- she goes right to sleep and doesn’t make a peep until we get her up (about 9 hours). She loves taking all of her toys in and out. She is so sweet and we adore her. 💖💖💖
6/28/22 (Millie Jane's 1st day in CA)
She’s checking it all out, inside and out. Started out at Jim’s with her brother, now investigating our house.
Millie Jane just loves the bully stick to chew on. She takes it everywhere she goes in the house. She feels comfortable going everywhere in our home as long as one of us leads.
She seems to be adapting quite well. We'll see how her first night goes 🤪.
"Millie Jane" is a darling sweetheart! She is one of the biggest in the litter, but she has such a mellow, mild, tender disposition. She also has a playful side when she comes out of her shell. She is going to live with a sweet couple in Huntington Beach, CA. We can't wait to see how she grows up with Mr. George as her neighbor who will live across the street!

Maureen Jaleen aka "June"
Home with Nancy L. in Kingston, NY!
Updates from Nancy:
6/11/24
June is doing well. Above is a picture from Christmas. Her coat is a bit longer in this photo because we took a pause on bringing her to the groomer at the recommendation of our local vet during the mysterious dog respiratory illness that was spreading thru the country last fall. She thankfully is now back on her grooming schedule. It was really hard to try to brush her enough to keep the knots away for four months! She still plays like a big puppy with our little terrier and loves “helping” feed the koi fish every morning(she stands on a rock above the pond and barks at them).
7/5/22
I take her out first thing.
I don’t even let her walk down stairs.
Then breakfast.
20 after that I take her out to poo.
Then I watch to see how much water she has and take her out.
Funny sometimes she goes to the door, and I take her out.

Home with Nicole and Archie (Moore Family Newfoundland), Luna (the cat) chickens and family in Chesapeake, VA!
Updates from Nicole:
10/4/22
Ollie (Mr. Jeneral) is the best dog we’ve ever had. My husband is in love with that dog. I think he’s awesome too. He’s very healthy and the happiest dog I’ve ever seen. We’re starting him in training and then will get to agility training soon. I’m sure he will excel at that. We actually let him sleep on the bed, which no dog has ever been allowed to do! So sweet. I call him my Empath. Loving, playful, eager to learn, happy. Love him.
8/4/22
He’s doing great! We did change his name to Ollie. He was afraid to come in the house at first But he got over that quickly. He and Archie are doing great after a small period of adjustment and now they play out the yard and Ollie has been swimming in the pool with us a little bit. He’s very smart and he’s so quiet particularly compared to Archie. He’s a very good boy and we love him. He does have a bad habit of chasing the cat and chewing on socks though but could be worse. I’ll send some pictures along. Thank you so much for giving us such an awesome dog!

Mr. Jorge "George"
Home with Jim M. in Huntington Beach, CA!
Updates from Jim:
4/1/23
Eating doggie ice cream on his birthday. Yes, his hair is very short due to matting. He loves playing with Millie Jane, going to the dog park, going to the beach, the dog park and the park near our home.
7/14/22
Mr. George did excellent last night. About 11 pm Mr George got off the bed, went downstairs and out the doggie door to go to the grass area to pee and poop. I was so very happy and praised him. I could tell he was very pleased with himself. I slept the rest of the night.
I bought him a ramp to help him get in the car without me lifting him in. I started using it in the house to help him on the couch. I had to lift him about 1/2 way 2-3 times then he went the rest of the way alone. This morning he went up the ramp unassisted. I’m so proud of his progress. He’s always very cautious when trying new things.
Love him more every day.

Can’t thank you enough for mr George. He’s learning so fast. He’s going up & down the stairs unassisted and using the doggie door like a pro. He’s much more of a snuggler now that he comfortably at his new home. He loves visiting with Milli Jane. He’s doing his business in the grass area very good. Just a few accidents which is expected. I really love him so much.
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
By the way I’m surprised how well George is handling the noise from the fireworks. Also, he likes meditation music to fall asleep to.
6/28/22 (Mr. George's first day in CA)
I’m so happy. It will take a few days for the puppies to get settled in. 👍
He’s doing great, exploring, playing with his new ball and just went through the doggie door with me holding it open.
Mr. George loves the bully stick. I have some on order from Amazon which will be here tomorrow.
"Mr. George" is top dog in the gang and proud of it. He tips that chin up just about every time we look at him! He is going home to Huntington Beach, CA to be a side-kick to a bike rider. Mr. George already has his own motorcycle waiting on him. We are excited to see how this tough guy handles the rides.
